- Excellent academic track record in Human Geography or cognate discipline within the social sciences
- Hold an Australian (or equivalent international) Honour’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field with a significant research component and first-class honours/H1 awarded
- Meet English-language proficiency skills as per Faculty of Arts requirements
- Must be enrolled full-time and on campus
