Health Foundations & Medical Research
- Living allowance (stipend): AUD $53,608 per annum (2026 rate)
- Research allowance to support project expenses

Monash University Sir James McNeill Postgraduate Research Scholarship Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be one of the following: an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an Australian humanitarian visa holder, or an international student.
- Submit a scholarship application in the year it is offered.
- Undertake research that is environmentally responsible and socially beneficial.
- Meet Monash University’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements.
- Meet English language proficiency requirements.
- May also be enrolled in a Joint Research Award with Monash as the home institution.
Application Date and Process
- Apply for graduate research admission and scholarship simultaneously through the myApp Portal.
- New applicants must first receive an invitation to apply from the relevant faculty.
- Current students can apply directly through the portal.
- No need to select a specific scholarship—eligible candidates are automatically considered.
- Submit all required documents before the 31 October deadline.
