About Museums of History NSW - Meroogal Women’s Art Prize
The Meroogal Women’s Art Prize is a regional arts initiative focused on celebrating women artists and interpreting the historical and cultural significance of the Meroogal property. It encourages creative responses to themes of memory, place, heritage, and women’s lived experiences across generations.
Benefits of Museums of History NSW - Meroogal Women’s Art Prize
- Residency Prize: $8,000, a Bundanon artist-in-residence scholarship* and a Museums of History NSW membership
- Exhibition Prize: $8,000, a solo exhibition at the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, Nowra and a Museums of History NSW membership
- Highly Commended Award: $1,500 and a Museums of History NSW membership
- People’s Choice Award: $500 and a Museums of History NSW membership (award to be announced at the close of the exhibition)
Museums of History NSW - Meroogal Women’s Art Prize Requirements
Applicants must meet all conditions:
- Must identify as women
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be residents of New South Wales (NSW), Australia
- Must submit original artwork responding to the Meroogal theme
