The National Churches Trust Large Grants Programme supports major improvement projects at Christian places of worship across the UK.
Eligible applicants are:
Churches.
Chapels.
Meeting houses.
Cathedrals.
Applicants must be Christian places of worship located in:
England.
Northern Ireland.
Scotland.
Wales.
Isle of Man.
Channel Islands.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
Building Requirements
The place of worship must:
Have originally been built as a place of worship.
Be more than 30 years old.
Continue to serve as a worship space.
Public Access Requirements
Buildings must:
Be open for at least six public services each year.
Be accessible to the public for at least 100 days annually beyond worship activities.
Alternatively, the project must enable the building to meet these requirements after completion.
