About NFVF Film Festival and Market Attendance Funding Programme

The grant aims to provide financial support for South African filmmakers and industry practitioners to attend both local and international film festivals and markets. The purpose is to enable them to promote their films and television products, share their expertise and promote the South African film industry.  

Benefits of NFVF Film Festival and Market Attendance Funding Programme

  • International Film and Markets attendance – R60 000.00
  • Local (South Africa) Film and Markets attendance – R 20 000.00

NFVF Film Festival and Market Attendance Funding Programme Requirements

Eligible applicants include:

  • South African filmmakers.
  • Film producers.
  • Directors.
  • Screenwriters.
  • Film industry practitioners.
  • Other eligible professionals involved in the South African film sector.

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for the selected funding category.
  • Apply for participation in an eligible film festival or market.
