About GRIPS - Young Leaders Program MEXT Scholarship
The Young Leaders Program (YLP) at GRIPS (National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies) is a one-year English-taught Master of Public Policy program supported by the Japanese Government's MEXT Scholarship. It aims to develop future leaders in government and public administration while building international networks among participating countries.

GRIPS - Young Leaders Program MEXT Scholarship Requirements
- Applicant must be Non-Japanese from country given below
- Must have Bachelors degree from a recognized university
- Candidate must be under 40 years of age as of October 1, 2026
- Must have full time professional experience of 3 years in Public Administration
- Student have to provide English Language Proficiency Certificate with 6.0 in IELTS or 79 score in TOBEL iBT
- Eligible countries for School of Government: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Viet Nam
