About National Tsing Hua University Summer Program
The Summer Research Program (SRP) takes place during summer at the College of Engineering in National Tsing Hua University. The Program welcomes university students (with completion of at least two-year university studies) from around the world into one of the six disciplines to conduct a two-month research on projects of mutual interests with local and international students and under the guidance of a faculty advisor.

National Tsing Hua University Summer Program Requirements
- The Taiwan summer program is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world, including Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.
- Moreover, applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies, which includes students in their third or fourth year.
- In addition, candidates must enroll in a university listed in the Reference List by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan).
- Furthermore, participants must choose one of the six disciplines offered in the program and actively contribute to research projects under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
- Finally, the research program lasts two months, during which students gain hands-on international research experience and strengthen their skills.

Please confirm that you are a bonafide student with completion of at least two-year university studies (i.e. undergraduate student in their 3rd/4th year of studies, or graduate student) from the university on the Reference List by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan).

- Find or Reach out to potential host professors.

- Official Transcript of Academic Records (the most recent one, in English, including the list of courses taken, grades and credits of each course with semester/year indicated; also attaching the grading system or a table of criteria, if it’s not mentioned in the official transcript)
- Photocopy of Student ID Cards (front & back; scan/e-copy, clear and in color)
- Proof of Valid Student Status, issued by the home institution (official documents showing you are a bonafide student in your home institution; please do note that you must not lose your student status during the application period and the program period.) *should there be any expected changes to your student status, such as the cases where you are undergoing direct admission from undergraduate studies to graduate studies, please specify the situation in your study plan.
- Proof of the internship plan being requirements of the program the students enrolled in or of their graduation (official documents showing you are required to have oversea research experience for graduation or for completion of studies/courses.) *for undergraduates, please make sure to provide proofs such as certificates or attestation letters from your course instructor/advisor/home institution verifying the intership/research experience is mandatory and crucial to your studies; for graduates, please also point out that the intership/research experience is needed to your master's or doctoral studies, its relations/importance to your thesis.

- Optional:
- Supporting Materials (Letter of Recommendation, Proof of English/Language Proficiency, Certificates of Academic Performance, etc.)
- Go to 2026SPR Online Application (https://forms.gle/rpHvYZKMEFF8GEgj7), provide the needed information as instructed by the deadline (12:00, noon, February 28 , 2026 Taiwan Standard Time).
- Wait for the results, scheduled to be announced in late-March.
- Reply your willingness of attendance, should you receive the notice of acceptance.
