About Nederlands Filmfonds - Netherlands Film Production Incentive Programme

The Netherlands Film Production Incentive Programme is designed to increase production activity within the Dutch audiovisual industry by attracting both domestic and international productions.The scheme encourages producers to collaborate with Dutch companies, employ Dutch creative and technical professionals, and invest in production activities carried out within the Netherlands.By supporting productions that generate economic and cultural value, the programme contributes to the growth, competitiveness, and international visibility of the Dutch film industry.

Benefits of Nederlands Filmfonds - Netherlands Film Production Incentive Programme

Eligible productions may receive:

• A cash rebate of up to 35% of qualifying production costs incurred in the Netherlands

Funding limits include:

• Maximum support of €3 million per year per production company
• Total programme budget of €20 million for 2026

Nederlands Filmfonds - Netherlands Film Production Incentive Programme Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

• Be an independent production company
• Be established in:
  • The Netherlands (including Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba)
  • A European Union member state
  • A European Economic Area (EEA) country
  • Switzerland
• Have been continuously active in audiovisual production for at least two years
• Meet all financial and legal eligibility requirements
• Pass the programme’s independence assessment

Only companies with proven production experience are eligible to apply.
