About Nederlands Filmfonds Realization of Short Animation Grant

The Realization of Short Animation scheme supports the production of original and independent short animated films for cinema audiences. A producer can apply to the Film Fund for a subsidy for the realisation of a short animated film of up to 60 minutes. With the scheme, the Fund stimulates a high-quality, diverse, relevant and daring range of animated films. The scheme does justice to short animation as an autonomous art form.

The scheme is open to films made with all animation techniques, to audiences of all ages and to both figurative and abstract films. Each year, a select number of short animated films are supported that connect with the international festival audience and manage to reach a Dutch audience through various channels (Filmpoule, Picl and other screenings).
