Opportunity Details
The New America Fellows Program is a fellowship program run by New America that supports innovative thinkers like journalists, scholars, filmmakers, and policy analysts—who want to develop bold ideas and projects.
Funding: Unrestricted stipends between $15k–$30k to support income, travel, research, or multimedia production.
Community: Fellows join a network of peers, alumni, and experts, with gatherings in Washington, DC and virtual sessions.
Platforms & Partners: Opportunities to publish with media partners, New America newsletters, and project launches during/after the fellowship.
Skill-building sessions and connections with New America’s policy programs.
Open to thinkers worldwide (not limited to U.S. citizens).
Applicants may be based abroad for part or all of the year.
