About Nova Scotia Government Seniors Care Grant Program

The Seniors Care Grant Program in Nova Scotia provides financial support to seniors to help them live independently and maintain well-being. The grant focuses on household services such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, small home repairs, outdoor maintenance, and help with moving or downsizing; healthcare support including physiotherapy, mental health services, and other wellness-related services; and home heating costs, including related maintenance or minor repairs. 

Benefits of Nova Scotia Government Seniors Care Grant Program

You can receive $750 if you qualify for the Seniors Care Grant.

Nova Scotia Government Seniors Care Grant Program Requirements

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be 65 years or older by March 31, 2026;
  • Have a household net income of $45,100 or less; reside in a home or apartment where their name appears on the property title, lease, or accepted proof of residence; have paid or plan to pay for eligible services and home heating between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026; only one applicant per household is allowed.
