The scholarship programme aims to support outstanding postgraduate researchers pursuing doctoral studies in fields relevant to radio astronomy, engineering, data science, and technologies linked to the MeerKAT and Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescopes. The funding opportunity is available to eligible students from South Africa and selected African countries, providing substantial financial support, research funding, travel assistance, and additional benefits for the duration of doctoral studies

R200,000 annual scholarship stipend

R25,000 equipment grant over the study period

Academic Requirements
Applicants must hold or be studying toward:
BSc Honours in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
