The PEN America Literary Grant Program supports writers developing projects with long-term literary and cultural value. One of its key offerings, the PEN/Jean Stein Grants, focuses on literary nonfiction that uses oral history as a central storytelling method.These grants aim to preserve voices, document lived experiences, and contribute to meaningful historical and cultural narratives.
