About Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship

The Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship supports full-time U.S. undergraduate and graduate students in exploring coastal sustainability, smart growth, and climate adaptation in Hawai‘i.

Benefits of Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship

  • The fellowship runs for 8 weeks during the summer and offers a $7,000 stipend. 

Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship Requirements

  •  Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Application Date and Process

  • Cover Letter (2 pages maximum)
  • Resume (2 pages maximum)
  • Unofficial transcripts (both graduate and undergraduate transcripts if graduate student)
  • The names, emails, and phone numbers of two references that the selection committee can contact. Please note that we will only be contacting references for applications that move forward to the interview phase.
