About Pro Helvetia - Thematic Publication Grant Program
The Thematic Publication Grant Program supports the production of thematic publications that explore contemporary art, photography, and architecture in Switzerland. The programme encourages publications that engage readers across Switzerland’s different language regions while promoting critical discourse, artistic excellence, and high editorial standards.
The grant is intended to help produce professionally designed publications featuring strong visual content alongside in-depth texts on art studies and art criticism. Pro Helvetia - Thematic Publication Grant Program Requirements
The programme is open to:
- Professional publishing houses.
- Editors.
Publishing houses must:
- Demonstrate professional publishing experience.
- Have maintained a high-quality publishing programme for at least the previous two years.
Project Eligibility Requirements
Eligible publication projects must:
- Have a clear connection to Switzerland.
- Be of nationwide importance.
- Address contemporary art, photography, or architecture.
- Be relevant across multiple Swiss language regions.
- Demonstrate strong visual design and execution.
- Include substantial texts on art studies or art criticism.
- Be adequately co-funded through public and/or private sources.
- Guarantee fair working conditions for all contributors.
