The QCoal Foundation Community Spirit Grant Program supports the growth and wellbeing of regional and remote communities by funding local initiatives that contribute to stronger, healthier and more sustainable places to live.

Benefits of QCoal Foundation Community Spirit Grants

• Community Spirit Grants

  • For grants of up to $2,000
  • Awarded 3 times per year (February, May, September). Applications close on 15 January, 30 April and 31 August.
  • Short term or one-off projects that reflect the spirit and aspirations of the community.

• Community Growth Grant

  • For grants of up to $15,000
  • Awarded annually (February). Applications close on 15 January.
  • Larger-scale, medium to long term projects of an ongoing nature or larger scale community infrastructure.

QCoal Foundation Community Spirit Grants Requirements

• Open to not-for-profit organisations, especially those with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

• Community groups without DGR status may be referred to donor partners.

• Individuals and for-profit companies are not eligible.

• Projects promoting religious or political beliefs or aimed at debt repayment are excluded.
