The Empowering Queensland Women (EQW) Grant is designed to support initiatives that improve economic security and professional opportunities for women and girls across Queensland. The program emphasizes skill-building, mentorship, and access to resources that promote financial independence and career advancement.
Benefits of Queensland Government - Empowering Queensland Women Grant Program
- A total of $540,000 (excluding GST) in funding is available across two rounds per year.
- Each individual grant is up to $10,000 (excluding GST), with a total funding pool of $270,000 per round.
Queensland Government - Empowering Queensland Women Grant Program Requirements
Eligible applicants include:
- Incorporated not-for-profit organisations
- Incorporated associations registered with the Office of Fair Trading
- Indigenous corporations registered with the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations
- Queensland universities
- Queensland local government authorities
Applicants must also:
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Operate or deliver services in Queensland
- Have no outstanding financial or performance issues with Queensland Government funding
- Hold or plan to obtain insurance covering project delivery
