The Mayor and Councillors’ Community Benefit Fund, administered by Redland City Council, supports projects that create wider community benefit. The fund assists individuals achieving excellence at national or international levels, enables not-for-profit organisations to deliver impactful projects, and strengthens partnerships between schools and community groups. All funded initiatives must demonstrate a clear public benefit beyond specific memberships or interest groups.
Eligible applicants include:
Individuals residing in the Redlands area who have been selected to represent Queensland or Australia in nationally or internationally recognised events
Not-for-profit incorporated organisations based in Redland City
Applicants sponsored by incorporated not-for-profit organisations capable of assuming legal and financial responsibility
Parents and Citizens Associations where projects demonstrate wider community benefit and formal partnerships
Religious and industry organisations only when projects benefit the broader community beyond members and align with organisational constitutions
Applicants must also be financially viable, free of debt to Council, and have no overdue acquittals.
