The GOARN Berlin Fellowship Programme offers a six-months project-based fellowship for future public health leaders from GOARN partner institutions. It aims to foster professional growth, strengthen the capacity of fellows’ home institutions, and enhance institutional collaboration across the GOARN network. The programme is a collaboration of the WHO Collaborating Centre for GOARN at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Preparedness (WHO Hub) and the Global outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) Operational Support Team (OST).
Berlin Track:
Monthly stipend: €1,900.
Project budget: up to €15,000.
Accommodation, travel, and laptop provided.
Duty travel (including Geneva closing ceremony) covered under German regulations.
Fellows must arrange health and liability insurance.
Administrative delays may affect stipend timing.
Country Track:
Fellows continue working at their home institutions.
Financial support and mentorship provided.
Travel expectations vary depending on project needs.
