Opportunity Details
Salzburg Global Communications Internship describes an opportunity for young professionals (typically recent graduates in journalism, communications, PR, or digital media) to join Salzburg Global’s Communications Team for up to three months. Interns help tell stories about the organization’s programs through writing, interviews, and multimedia content, while gaining exposure to international affairs and networking with global participants.

The internships are full-time, for a maximum period of three months.
Although the position is not paid, we will provide the successful candidate with:

Salzburg Global Communications Internship Requirements
- You have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field like communications, public relations, or digital marketing.
- Significant journalistic/writing and content production work experience outside of degree studies (e.g., with a college newspaper or agency internship) will be considered for those with non-journalistic academic backgrounds.
- You have experience working in the media, particularly producing written and multimedia content.
- You have demonstrable knowledge of international affairs covered by Salzburg Global's program areas.
- You have excellent (native or equivalent) English writing and communication skills, including editing.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- You have prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop).
- Experience with web CMS and multimedia editing is also highly desirable.
- You are enthusiastic about our mission.
- You have a can-do attitude, can multitask, are proactive, and are willing to work flexible hours as needed by the program.
- You thrive in culturally and professionally diverse environments.
Note: German language skills are not required.
