About Santa Fe Institute Complex Systems Summer School Journalism Fellowship
SFI's Complex Systems Summer School Journalism Fellowship is a residential, immersive program that offers two accomplished journalists the opportunity to explore complex-systems science. Open to national and international journalists, eligible candidates must have a demonstrated interest in reporting on topics related to complex systems.
Benefits of Santa Fe Institute Complex Systems Summer School Journalism Fellowship
- Fellows receive a generous stipend for the duration of the Fellowship, travel reimbursement, and housing.
Santa Fe Institute Complex Systems Summer School Journalism Fellowship Requirements
- The Fellowship is open to journalists with at least seven years' experience, familiarity with complexity science, and a clear articulation of how the Fellowship will advance their reporting.
Application Date and Process
Applicants should submit:
- Biographical information (filled out directly in the application portal).
- A current résumé.
- A statement that describes your journalism, interest in reporting on complex systems, and goals for participating in the Fellowship (maximum two pages).
- Five clips demonstrating your interest in and ability to report on topics related to complex-systems science.
- One letter of recommendation.
