The Singapore AI Safety Fellowship is an independent research fellowship that connects fellows with leading mentors working on technical AI safety and governance. Fellows conduct research for three months in Singapore, building the skills and relationships for international coordination on AI safety.It's built for researchers who want their work to inform real-world AI safety practice, on top of publishing it. Singapore's role as a globally connected, policy-engaged hub makes that possible.
Mentorship from experienced researchers
Weekly meetings with established AI safety researchers to guide your project.
Research and career support
Dedicated Research Managers support fellows to stay on track, remove blockers, and plan next steps in your career.
Stipend and housing
$5,000 SGD per month, with housing provided throughout the fellowship.
Compute
Up to $30,000 USD in compute for projects that require it.

Fellows work from SASH’s hub right in the heart of Chinatown — Singapore's most storied historic district.
