The Conceptual Development Grant is designed to help Northern Territory game developers explore new ideas, produce proof-of-concept projects, and evaluate audience and market viability. The program supports innovation in gameplay, visual and audio design, and monetization strategies, providing a platform for developers to showcase concepts and strengthen their position in the interactive entertainment industry.
Maximum grant per application: $5,000
Be Australian citizens or Northern Territory residents (if applying as individuals)
Be 18 years or older
Companies must be NT-based unless co-producing with an external partner
Ensure all key creative team members meet these requirements
Demonstrate capacity and rights to carry out the project
Not be in default or breach of obligations with Screen Territory or other NT Government agencies
Ineligible applicants include:
Broadcasters and broadcaster employees
Certain government employees
Current students enrolled in film or interactive media courses
Applicants with unresolved obligations from previous Screen Territory funding
