The Production Finance Program provides financial support for eligible screen projects that showcase Northern Territory stories and contribute to the growth of the Territory’s screen industry. The programme supports productions with strong Northern Territory content by providing production finance, encouraging local storytelling, and strengthening the capacity of Northern Territory filmmakers and production companies.

The programme is open to eligible individuals and companies involved in screen production.
Individual Applicants
Individuals must:
Be Australian citizens.
Be Northern Territory residents.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Company Applicants
Companies must:
Be Northern Territory companies.
Meet the requirements outlined in the programme guidelines.
A Northern Territory company may also apply for a genuine co-production with a non-Northern Territory company where permitted.
Applicant Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate that they:
Have the capacity and resources to complete the production.
Hold the required rights to develop and produce the project.
Have appropriate copyright ownership or clearances.
Can manage production activities effectively.
Meet Screen Territory programme requirements.
Applicants must also:
Act honestly and responsibly in dealings with Screen Territory.
Ensure key creative team members meet eligibility requirements.
Have no outstanding breaches or obligations under previous funding agreements.
