SickKids Foundation, through the SickKids WomenPowered program, provides grants to support initiatives that align with our mission to improve the health and well-being of children and youth in Canada. The program prioritizes efforts that involve collaboration between families, health professionals, and community organizations to create meaningful and lasting impacts. Funding is limited, and awards are granted through a competitive evaluation process.
Benefits of SickKids FoundationWomenPowered Grant
- Grants are limited to an annual maximum of $25,000. The funding can be used to support a specific project or address some of the most urgent needs of an organization. An organization may receive funding for the same project for up to two consecutive years. After that, the organization must wait 24 months before reapplying for the same project.
SickKids FoundationWomenPowered Grant Requirements
- To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a registered Canadian charitable organization in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
- Have a primary mission centered on the health, well-being, or development of children and youth.
- Programs and services must primarily benefit children and youth within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Show a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in their programs and organizational practices.
- Preference is given to organizations that operate between $1 million and $ 5 million in annual revenue. • Provide evidence of financial stability, governance, and impact measurement capacity.
Application Date and Process
Step 1: Complete the eligibility form to confirm your organization’s qualifications. Step 2: Provide organization details, including your CRA registration number. Step 3: Complete the application form, ensuring all required documentation is attached. Step 4: Submit your application before the deadline. A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt.
