The Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships are prestigious awards that provide substantial financial support to exceptional Australian artists, creatives, and cultural leaders. The fellowship provides flexible financial support to enable recipients to further develop their artistic practice and leadership.

Sidney Myer Fund & The Myer Foundation Creative Fellowships Requirements

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be an early to mid-career artist, creative, or cultural leader.
• Have 7–17 years of professional practice.
• Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be primarily based in Australia during the fellowship period.
• Work professionally in a creative or cultural field.
• Be formally nominated by an eligible nominator.

Who is Not Eligible?

The fellowship is not available to:

• Individuals who self-nominate.
• Individuals nominated by family members.
• Practitioners whose primary professional practice is education.
• Practitioners whose primary professional practice is therapy, including music therapy.
• Applicants nominated more than once during the same funding year.
• Individuals unsuccessful in the 2026 round (they cannot be re-nominated in 2027).
