The Reed Environmental Writing Award, presented by the Southern Environmental Law Center (SELC), recognizes exceptional nonfiction books and journalism that explore the natural environment, ecological heritage, and environmental challenges of the American South. The award celebrates writers whose work combines strong literary quality with meaningful environmental insight, with winners invited to present their work at a special SELC event in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The award allows nominations of writers whose eligible nonfiction or journalism demonstrates exceptional literary and environmental merit.
