About START JINR Summer Student Program
START (ex-Summer Student Programme) is an onsite JINR student programme intended for students under 30 from all over the world who specialise in science, engineering, and IT, starting from their 4 year of undergraduate studies up to the 1st year of PhD. Their main goal is to assist JINR laboratories in finding young talented specialists to be further employed at JINR.

START JINR Summer Student Program Requirements
- First, applicants must be undergraduate, master’s, or PhD students enrolled at an accredited university or institution.
- Next, students must specialize in STEM fields, including science, engineering, IT, or closely related disciplines.
- Additionally, applicants must be in their 3rd year of undergraduate studies up to the 1st year of their PhD program at the time of application.
- Furthermore, this international program in Russia accepts students from all nationalities, and international applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
- In addition, applicants must be available to stay in Dubna, Russia, for 8 weeks, as the program does not allow remote participation.
- Finally, this program is only for students who have never participated in the START Summer Student Program before.
