About STCU - IEEE Magnetism Research Grant Program
The Magnetism for Ukraine 2026 is designed to strengthen Ukraine’s scientific capacity in magnetism-related disciplines. It supports research and professional development in fields such as magnetism, spintronics, and magnetic material science. The program promotes innovation, scientific excellence, and international collaboration as key evaluation strengths.

- This competitive program offers individual grants of $2,000 and group grants of $10,000 for the period of one year.
STCU - IEEE Magnetism Research Grant Program Requirements
Eligibility. The call for proposals is open to researchers who:
- Are pursuing or have completed their PhD;
- Hold a permanent position (either full-time or part-time) at a Ukrainian research institute or university;
- Reside in Ukraine for at least 50% of the time during the project implementation; for the group projects, all members of the team reside in Ukraine for at least 50% of the time during the project implementation;
- The proposed investigations are thematically in the field of magnetism, spintronics, magnetic material science or related fields;
- An applicant may participate not more than in one project proposal within this call (either individual or group project).
- Winners of the previous call in 2025/2026 are not eligible to apply for the 2026 program.
- Individuals who have received funding within this program twice, regardless of whether through individual or group applications, are ineligible for a third grant.
