About Sunrise Foundation’s Annual Grants Programme
The Sunrise Foundation Grant Program supports charitable initiatives that create positive community impact. Through its endowment fund, the Foundation manages donations contributed by individuals and organizations, with donors directing funds toward specific charitable purposes.
Benefits of Sunrise Foundation’s Annual Grants Programme
- Maximum grant amount: $7,500 per initiative per year
Sunrise Foundation’s Annual Grants Programme Requirements
- Any charity or community organisation with a charitable purpose in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne (the area covered by the Gisborne District Council) making a meaningful impact in our local community.
Sunrise will consider the following:
- Project costs
- General operating costs (including salaries/wages, rent and vehicle operating costs)
- Capital items (no more than $7500)
Application Date and Process
- Read all information listed below before getting started.
- You will need: proof of bank account, latest financial records and quotes (if applicable) ready to upload.
- All groups to register/log in via the portal.
- If you applied last year you will use the same username (your email address) and password. However, if you are a new person applying for your organisation, you will need to register as a new user with your email address.
- If you are a new user, click on the 'Apply Now' button, and it will take you to the 'Log in to your account' page. At the bottom right of that page it says 'Not a Member?', click on that and follow the prompts. You will receive a registration email (check junk/spam folder).
- Follow the 'Apply here' prompts to continue with the application.
- If you intend to apply again in future years, keep a record of your login email and password details.
