The TELUS Friendly Future Foundation supports charitable programs that improve health, education, and community impact for youth across Canada. The foundation funds initiatives that use technology to enhance program delivery, digitize learning, or create sensory-friendly environments for clients with disabilities. Single-year grants help charities and qualified donees reach youth who face barriers to achieving their potential.
Grant Amounts: Up to $20,000 per year (up to $10,000 for TELUS Barrie and Central Ontario Community Board).
Eligible Organizations: Canadian registered charities and qualified donees as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency.
Geographic Eligibility: Programs must be delivered within specific TELUS Community Board regions:
Atlantic Canada: PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador
Quebec: Rimouski, Quebec City, Montreal
Ontario: Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, Greater Toronto and Hamilton, Barrie and Central Ontario
Prairies: Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Alberta: Calgary and Southern Alberta, Edmonton and Northern Alberta
British Columbia: Interior and Northern BC, Vancouver and Coastal, Vancouver Island
Confirm your organization is a registered charity or qualified donee.
Identify the Community Board region where the program will be delivered.
Prepare a proposal detailing program objectives, expected youth outcomes, use of technology, and any digital or sensory-friendly initiatives.
Submit a separate application for each Community Board region where the program operates.
If applying for consecutive-year funding, ensure post-project requirements from prior funding are completed and that minimum time intervals are observed.
