The Alpine Fellowship Foundation awarded the Music Prize!The award for developing the best play based on the Alphine Fellowship's 2026 theme of JOY. The Theatre Prize winner will receive funds to help compose their planned play; while the runners-up will receive grants to cover their travel expenses to their symposium in 2026.
The winner and runners-up will receive financial support in the following amounts:
Open internationally to all nationalities.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Must compose and perform new music (instrumental or vocal, any genre/style).
Work must be no longer than 20 minutes and playable live at the symposium.
Acoustic performance recommended due to limited technical equipment.
A brief summary of your music experience or CV.
A video of yourself performing your chosen piece (Don’t worry about production quality, we just want to get a sense of your abilities and style.)
The lyrics/sheet music or any other written supporting information.
A brief statement about how your piece responds to our theme.
