About CCEEL Course on Multilateral Environmental Agreements Program
Organized annually by the University of Eastern Finland in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the prestigious two-week program focuses on international environmental law-making and diplomacy. The course addresses a specific theme within international environmental law, with the venue and theme changing each year.
Benefits of CCEEL Course on Multilateral Environmental Agreements Program
- Applicants candidates from developing nations or economies in transition can apply for partial or full fellowships to help with costs. However,Participants are required to cover their travel and other expenses, along with a tuition fee of EUR 1000.
- The program includes interactive lectures, workshops, and excursions to give participants practical skills in international environmental law-making, diplomacy, and negotiations. It also serves as a forum for reviewing recent developments in the field and enhancing environmental negotiation capacities worldwide.
CCEEL Course on Multilateral Environmental Agreements Program Requirements
- The Course is intended for experienced government officials engaged in international environmental negotiations. Also representatives of non-governmental organizations and representatives from the private sector may apply. In addition, researchers and academics in the field of international environmental law are also welcome to apply to the Course.
- The course will be held in English. Therefore, a good command of English is a prerequisite for attending the course.
