About DAAD Research Grant Program
The DAAD Research Stays programme supports doctoral candidates and early-career postdoctoral researchers from outside Germany who want to undertake a supervised research stay at a German university or non-university research institution.
Benefits of DAAD Research Grant Program
- DAAD provides a monthly scholarship of: €1,400 per month
- This is the primary scholarship payment for supported researchers.
- Additional benefits may be available depending on the applicant’s circumstances and the duration of the research stay.
DAAD Research Grant Program Requirements
Applicants must meet specific academic and institutional requirements.
Eligible applicants must:
- Be affiliated with a university or research institution outside Germany.
- Be currently pursuing a doctoral degree or have completed a doctorate within the previous four years.
- Plan to undertake the supported research in Germany.
- Have a research project coordinated with a scientific supervisor in Germany.
