About ETH SSRF Programme

The ETH Student Summer Research Fellowship (ETH SSRF) programme offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain their first research experience in an area of their choice. The fellowship provided by the Computer Science Department of ETH takes place during two summer months and is open to all students worldwide, except for students enrolled at ETH Zurich. The department is committed to increasing diversity in the computer science area.

Benefits of ETH SSRF Programme

The Fellowship covers:

• Housing and living costs. Fellows will receive CHF 4000 (4240 EUR) to cover housing and living expenses.
• Airfare Cost is Covered.
• Visa Cost is Covered.
• Students can claim the travel costs against receipts at the beginning of the program.

ETH SSRF Programme Requirements

• The Fellowship is open to all students worldwide.
• IELTS is not required.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s students can apply.
• Applicants enrolled in a Bachelor, or Master’s degree program in computer science or a closely related field (e.g., electrical engineering, mathematics, physics) can apply.
• You must be enrolled in a degree program during and after the fellowship. Your expected graduation date is in the same year or after the fellowship year.
• Although formal evidence of language proficiency is not required.
