About EU4Ocean Summer School
The EU4Ocean Summer School on Ocean Literacy & Collaboration is a 5-day event (14th - 18th of September) in the city of Milazzo (Italy) dedicated to thinking about how to better collaborate on ocean-related projects and apply this knowledge to advance a sustainable blue economy in a coastal city.
Benefits of EU4Ocean Summer School
- Accommodation in shared rooms will be provided for all the participants. Details on meals will be provided.
- In addition, UNESCO will provide 5 scholarships that will cover the cost of the transport tickets (round trip).
EU4Ocean Summer School Requirements
The program is open to a wide range of applicants:
- Applicants from all countries worldwide
- Master’s students and PhD students
- Early-career professionals
- Individuals from all academic and professional backgrounds
Participants will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Gender balance
- Geographical representation, with priority given to youth native to or currently living in EU and non-EU Mediterranean/Black Sea countries, as well as members of the Youth4Ocean Forum and ECOPs
- Age range: up to 35 years old
- Background: all sectors are encouraged to apply; we will pay attention to creating an interdisciplinary group
