The Gothenburg Book Fair Fellowship provides publishers and translators with an opportunity to deepen knowledge of Swedish literature, explore contemporary trends, and build professional networks. The program offers seminars, translation support, and travel and accommodation grants to enhance international understanding of the Swedish book market.
The fellowship provides partial travel grants, hotel accommodation, and seminar access:
Travel Grants: SEK 3,000 for participants from Europe; SEK 10,000 for participants from outside Europe.
Hotel: Three nights covered by the Swedish Arts Council.
Seminars: Full access to all fellowship sessions and seminars at the Gothenburg Book Fair.
Participants arrange their own travel, while the Swedish Arts Council manages hotel reservations and payments.
Publishers and translators with an interest in Swedish children’s or YA literature.
Translators who prefer independent exploration of the book fair may apply for standard travel, hotel, and seminar support.
