About HKUST Future Leaders Award Scholarship
HKUST Future Leaders Award Scholarship 2027 provides fully funded scholarships and supports outstanding non-local students with demonstrated financial need and academic excellence; the HKUST Award helps qualified applicants access higher-quality undergraduate education and campus opportunities.
Benefits of HKUST Future Leaders Award Scholarship
- Support based on students’ level of financial need, which could be up to full tuition plus a living allowance, renewable for applicants with exceptional financial need.
- Students can receive other top-up scholarship offers, provided that the maximum limit of “Full Tuition Fee + HK$65,000 allowance” p.a. is not exceeded.
HKUST Future Leaders Award Scholarship Requirements
- Non-local applicants who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming various challenges in their journey to university and who have the potential to make a positive contribution to the HKUST community.
- For the higher-level Award, applicants will need to demonstrate and provide proof of exceptional financial need.
- Meet HKUST’s admissions requirements and are recommended for admissions in the Priority Round.
- Applicants should be admitted to HKUST directly from high school; post-secondary applicants are not eligible.
Application Date and Process
- Submit application for admissions by the early round deadline and the application for the Future Leaders Award by December 2, 2026.
- Statement of Circumstance (to describe the family’s financial situation, explain the interest in joining and contributing to the HKUST community, and elaborate on the positive impact of receiving this scholarship).
- Declaration on Family Finances.
- Reference Letter / Recommendation Letter.
- Applicants will receive the results of the Award by late December to early January 2027 and can consider the offer and confirm acceptance of their admission offer by early January 2027.
