About The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation - Inlaks Research and Travel Grant Program
The Inlaks Research and Travel Grant Program is designed to help Indian doctoral researchers access international academic resources that are important for their PhD research.
Benefits of The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation - Inlaks Research and Travel Grant Program
The Grant offers support for a maximum of three months to undertake research at an institution, access libraries and meet with experts in the field.
It includes:
- Reasonable travel allowance reimbursable on actuals (up to USD 1,000).
- Maintenance expenses (up to USD 2,000 per month).
- Funds for buying materials and making copies of relevant literature reimbursable on actuals (up to USD 500).
- Health allowance reimbursable on actuals (up to USD 500).
- Any material collected by the candidate using the said allowance (literature, copies, instruments etc.) will become the property of the candidate’s institution for wider use.
The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation - Inlaks Research and Travel Grant Program Requirements
- The applicant must be an Indian passport holder residing in India.
- The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1991.
- The applicant must hold a confirmation of PhD synopsis by the institution/university they are pursuing their PhD at.
- The applicant must have a first-class Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
- The applicant must be pursuing a PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences only.
- The applicant must have proof of positive communication from the experts that they wish to engage with.
