About ICG Scholars-in-Residence Programme

The International Centre Goa is a non-profit autonomous society established in 1987 and inaugurated in 1996. It serves as a forum for intellectual exchange, bringing together scholars, academics, writers, thinkers and professionals from different fields.

Through its Scholars-in-Residence Programme, ICG supports individuals who need dedicated time and an appropriate environment to advance substantial writing and research projects.

Benefits of ICG Scholars-in-Residence Programme

• The residency includes return air travel, a stipend and food allowance.

ICG Scholars-in-Residence Programme Requirements

• Applicants must be residents of India;
• Applicants must be currently writing/completing a book manuscript or any other scholarly/literary work; and
• Applicants must be able to convincingly show in their application advanced progress in their ongoing project (1-2 book chapters or some other documentation).

NOTE:  The programme is not open to those who are yet to begin work on a project.

Application Date and Process

Please submit the following towards your application:

• A short bio (1-2 pages);
• Description of book project (max. 2 pages); and
• Sample writing (one or two chapters from the ongoing book project).

All applications should be clearly marked as “ICG Scholars-in-Residence Programme 2027” and sent by email on or before 3rd January 2027 to: [email protected].
