Opportunity Details
The Internet Society Pulse Research Fellowship 2026.
A fully funded six‑month fellowship program run by the Internet Society.
Designed for early‑career researchers and mentors worldwide to work on Internet measurement research.
Fellows: USD 17,000 (includes USD 2,000 for travel/equipment).
Mentors: USD 10,000 (includes USD 2,000 for travel/equipment).
Mentorship with experts, global networking, and publishing opportunities.
Flexible remote participation.
Eligibility
Fellows:
Early‑career researchers (within 10 years of graduation).
Affiliated with academic/research institutions.
Knowledge of Internet measurements, policy, or data visualization.
Commitment of 25 hours/week for six months.
Must not be previous Pulse Fellows.
Letter of support required.
Mentors:
Experienced researchers with PhD and strong publication record.
Prior mentorship experience.
Commitment of 4–8 hours/week.
Can come from academia, industry, or non‑profits.
Submit Interest Form
Complete the online interest form by December 23, 2025 (11:59 UTC).
Include required documents (CV, proposal outline, supervisor letter if applying as a fellow).
Initial Notification
Shortlisted candidates will be notified on January 16, 2026.
Detailed Application
If shortlisted, submit a full proposal by February 6, 2026.
This should align with Pulse focus areas (e.g., Internet resilience, shutdowns, market concentration).
Final Selection
Successful fellows and mentors will be announced on February 14, 2026.
