The Japanese Language Learners Event Grant supports educational events designed to strengthen Japanese-language learning across the United States. By funding initiatives that bring together learners from multiple institutions, the grant encourages engagement at primary, secondary, collegiate, and adult learning levels and fosters collaboration between schools, universities, and community organizations.
Grant Amount: Up to $1,000 per approved event
Non-profit institutions or organizations involved in Japanese-language education in the U.S.
Ineligible applicants: Individuals, U.S. government bodies, organizations receiving Japanese government funds, institutions restricted by law from foreign aid, and organizations serving commercial, political, or religious purposes
Applicants must maintain a bank account in the institution’s name capable of receiving grant funds from JFLA
Compliance with all applicable laws and ordinances is required
