About LSE - Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship
The Sir Ratan Tata Fellowship is available to scholars with experience researching on South Asia in the social sciences. The Fellowship is for a period of six months.The Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship was established in 1997 at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) in partnership with the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. The Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship is for a period of six months during each academic year, based at the LSE India Observatory.The Fellow is expected to engage in social science research broadly on Economic and Social Development in India and South Asia.
Benefits of LSE - Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship
- The Fellow will receive a monthly subsistence allowance of up to £1,750 a month, and will be provided with shared work space and access to research facilities at the School. Assistance will also be provided towards the cost of travel and related expenses.
LSE - Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship Requirements
- Applicants should be early career post-doctoral researchers working on social science with a focus on South Asia.
- Applicants should have been awarded their PhD - the fellowship is not intended for students registered for a degree or diploma, nor is it intended for senior academics.
- Applicants should be in permanent employment with an established institution in the SAARC region which includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
