About The National Health Fellows Programme for Young Emerging Nigerian Professionals

The National Health Fellows programme brings together a cohort of emerging professionals across various disciplines, including health and health-related, Information Technology, and Social Sciences. These fellows will undergo rigorous training, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and exposure to best practices within the Nigerian health space. The primary objective of the fellowship is to cultivate a cadre of highly skilled and motivated health leaders capable of driving meaningful change and innovation in our health sector.

The National Health Fellows Programme for Young Emerging Nigerian Professionals Requirements
- Must be between the ages of 25 and 35.
- Bachelor’s degree (health-related, IT, or social sciences).
- Demonstrable interest/ or Experience in Public health OR health-related NGO and partner organisations OR community projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- Candidates must be available to participate full-time in the fellowship programme.
- Candidates must be an indigene of the state being applied for.
- Candidates must possess smartphones with data capabilities i.e. for WhatsApp, Zoom etc.
- Recommendation from the University Dean OR NYSC place of primary assignment, or a respected organisation demonstrating character and leadership.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive
- Applicants should demonstrate analytical skills, entrepreneurial drive, leadership potential, and an interest or experience in primary healthcare, community projects, or related fields.
