The Osteosarcoma Institute (OSI) supports research designed to accelerate progress in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of osteosarcoma.Osteosarcoma is a rare type of bone cancer that can become particularly difficult to treat when it relapses, becomes refractory to treatment, or spreads to other parts of the body.OSI uses several funding streams to support research across the development pathway, from laboratory and translational research to clinical trials.
Applicants must meet both individual and institutional eligibility requirements.
Individual Applicant Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent qualification
Hold a faculty appointment or equivalent position at an academic institution
Have a demonstrated record of scientific publications
Demonstrate funding productivity
Conduct research relevant to osteosarcoma
The applicant should be able to demonstrate sufficient research experience and independence to lead the proposed project.
Institutional Requirements
The grant must be awarded to a:
Nonprofit institution, or
Charitable institution
Eligible institutions can be located in any country, provided they can document their charitable or nonprofit status.
