About UNU-INWEH Scholarship

The UNU-INWEH Scholarship 2026 in Canada is a fully funded opportunity for PhD holders to work as an Academic Partnerships Coordinator at the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health. It is one of 13 research and training institutions within the UNU system, dedicated to resolving water, environmental, and health challenges through critical analysis, targeted research, and global outreach.

UNU-INWEH Scholarship Requirements

  • PhD in Food Systems, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Agricultural Sciences/Engineering, Geography, Geospatial  Sciences, or related field
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in the above fields
  • Experience with partnerships with academic institutes and universities globally
  • Demonstrated experience in resource mobilization and research grants
  • Proven experience in academic writing and policy-oriented reports
  • Experience with development of capacity building material and online learning systems
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communications skills
  • Professional level fluency in English is required
