About The University of Chicago Booth School of Business - Stigler Center Journalists in Residence Program
The program provides a transformative learning experience for journalists working in all forms of media around the world. Participants spend approximately 12 weeks on our Chicago Hyde Park campus, auditing classes, participating in Stigler Center events, collaborating with peers, and networking with the university’s scholars.

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business - Stigler Center Journalists in Residence Program Requirements
- Journalists working in all forms of media around the world are eligible to apply.
- Editors and freelancers can also apply for the Stigler Center Journalists Residency.
- Journalists should have at least a few years of post-degree working experience in the field.
- Applicants must have proficient English and an interest in deepening their knowledge and understanding of political economy.
- Basic knowledge of economics and accounting is useful but not required.
- Applicants are expected to engage respectfully with their cohort and the larger university community.
