About The World Bank Group - Government Analytics Fellowship
Government Analytics Fellowship is a World Bank fellowship that strengthens the capacity of government officials to use administrative and survey data to improve public administration and decision-making. The fellowship offers online-only, immersive in-person, and regional hub tracks and supports fellows to develop implementable Government Analytics projects.
The program is offered by the World Bank in partnership with Development Economics Vice-Presidency (DEC), the Development Impact Group, Institutions Global Department, the Institute for Economic Development, and academic collaborators. In-person components include workshops in Washington, D.C., and mentoring from World Bank and academic experts.

The World Bank Group - Government Analytics Fellowship Requirements
- Be nominated by their organizations (up to 2 fellows per organization are allowed).
- Work in a central government organization , including government agencies.
- Hold mid-level management or senior analyst positions (or equivalent), with the authority and institutional support to develop a Government Analytics project.
- Have prior tertiary-level coursework in statistics or related quantitative methods.
- Be proficient in English.
- Present a Government Analytics project with clear institutional relevance and potential for implementation.
- Be available to travel to Washington, D.C., for approximately two weeks in March 2027 (for the in-person fellowship).
- Commit to completing the virtual Government Analytics Fellowship course and submitting your Government Analytics project before attending the in-person training (in-person requirement).
Application Date and Process
- Complete the online application form via the World Bank application form link.
- Upload a comprehensive CV (3 pages maximum) highlighting relevant experience and qualifications.
- Prepare and upload a 150-word summary of a Government Analytics project you envision undertaking within your organization.
- Upload an endorsement letter from your organization nominating you for the Fellowship, confirming your position, and demonstrating institutional support for your participation and proposed project.
- Ensure all documents are in English and submitted in PDF format.
- Submit your application by November 16, 2026.
