About Triangle Trust Grants for Young Women and Girls
The Triangle Trust is a grant-making programme focused on reducing female youth involvement in the criminal justice system. It supports organisations delivering targeted interventions, prevention work, and rehabilitation-focused services for young women and girls.The programme is built around a Theory of Change that emphasises long-term behavioural and social outcomes.
Benefits of Triangle Trust Grants for Young Women and Girls
- Grants of up to £100,000 for a duration of 18, 24, 30 or 36 months. The amount of funding requested must be proportional to the project being undertaken
- A maximum of £50,000 per year can be requested
Triangle Trust Grants for Young Women and Girls Requirements
- Applicants must be a registered charity, a not-for-profit social enterprise or a community interest company working within the UK, with a UK office.
- If an applicant is a social enterprise and/or a community interest company, they must have a governing document which shows their name, aim/purpose, objects of the group, including a dissolution clause - what happens if your group ceases to function.
- Applicants must be either a women and girls led organisation working only with women and girls or
- Organisations must work primarily or exclusively in the areas listed below for us to consider the organisation to be ‘Expert’:
a. County lines
b. Gangs
c. Young people who are care-experienced d. Young people at risk of exclusion from education
e. Young people who have been excluded from education
- All projects must be solely for young women and girls.
- Applicants must demonstrate that their organisation:
a. Has experience of working with young women and girls in the criminal justice system,
b. Is gender and trauma informed,
c. Puts lived experience at the core of its projects.
- The age group for the April funding round is 11-18 years old.
- The age group for the September funding round is 17-30 years old.
- The maximum annual income threshold for this funding is £5M per annum.
- Applicants must have their annual accounts independently examined or audited.
- Applicants already in receipt of a grant can only apply for further funding if they are in the final year of their grant, even if they are applying for a different project.
- Previous applicants must wait 12 months or more from the submission date to reapply.
- Previous applicants cannot apply for exactly the same project, unless agreed with a member of the Grants Team.
