About U.S. Embassy Dhaka - Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
This nine-month professional development program is open to candidates working across the public and private sectors including research organizations, think tanks, and NGOs in Bangladesh. Initiated in 1978 in honor of the late Senator and Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey, the (HHH) Fellowship Program is one of the most prestigious professional exchanges programs of the Department of State. The HHH program brings accomplished mid-career professionals to the United States for a non-degree graduate-level study, leadership development, and substantive collaboration with American policy experts and practitioners. By providing future leaders and policy makers with exposure to U.S. society, culture, and professional fields, the program provides the foundation for long-term partnerships between Americans and their foreign counterparts in sectors key to Bangladesh’s future.

U.S. Embassy Dhaka - Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a Bangladeshi citizen.
- Reside in Bangladesh throughout the application and selection process.
- Hold the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree of less than four years must also possess:
- A completed master’s degree, or
- A full-time postgraduate diploma.
- Have at least five years of full-time professional work experience before August 2026.
- Hold management, leadership, or policy-related responsibilities.
- Be eligible to receive leave from their employer.
- Demonstrate leadership potential.
- Show commitment to public service.
- Demonstrate strong potential for future professional advancement.
- Possess good written and spoken English skills.
